Reelfoot NWR Junior Rangers

This program is a 6 hour environmental education program for kids ages 6-12 at no cost. There will be activities such as rope tying, compass orienting, wildlife/plant identification, etc. The first junior ranger session is scheduled for July 18, 2009 from 9:00am to 3:00pm and is limited to 5 participants. Parents are welcome to stay and participate. Additional sessions may be added if needed, tentatively scheduled for August 1st, 2009. Participants are responsible for getting to the refuge visitor center one mile west of Highway 22 near Walnut Log. Long pants and closed toed shoes are required. Bring a lunch, some snacks, a hat and come have a good time learning about our local environment.
