The West Tennessee National Wildlife Refuges are trying to re-establish it's Friends Group. The Friends of West Tennessee National Wildlife Refuges is a non-profit organization designed to help the refuge staff through fundraising and volunteer work. Some goals of the Friends Group are to support refuge activities and events, increase awareness of West Tennesse Refuges, educate the public about the US Fish and Wildlife Service's mision and to increase fundraising to support refuge programs. Anyone can be a Friend of the refuges; photographers, students, teachers, hunters, fishing enthusiasts, retirees, business people, doctors, lawyers, birdwatchers, nature lovers, gardeners, etc.

“The Friends of West Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge will seek opportunities to promote and enhance the integrity of the West Tennessee National Wildlife Refuges through activities that advance public understanding, awareness, appreciation, and enjoyment of the natural environment.”

As part of being a non-profit organization, the dues you pay will go toward the operation of the Friends group. If you are interested, please contact us at the information below.
