Location and Operating Information Red Bluff Diversion Dam, on the Sacramento River about 2 miles southeast of Red Bluff, California, diverts water from the Sacramento River to the Corning and Tehama-Colusa Canals. Primary Species Salmon, steelhead, and other nongame fishRecreation and Education TV viewing of salmon may be observed from mid-June through August from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The recreational area is normally open year round with limited camping available (for more information 530-824-5196). Daily updates of fish counts at the dam can be obtained by calling 530-527-1408 during the season of operation. Picnic sites, restrooms, and boat launch facilities are also provided by the U.S. Forest Service. |
