Technical Assistance
In addition to taking a lead on conservation projects the SNEP staff can support similar work initiated by partners by providing technical assistance at almost any point in a project. This includes:
- Informal site visits to assess biological and landscape conditions, and explore management or protection options;
- Technical writing and assembly of published biological data and management materials in support of partner grant applications or management plans;
- Participation in formal grant review panels on behalf of granting agencies;
- Encouraging exchange of scientific and management information, and project opportunities by developing or contributing to news bulletins and participating in regional multi-partner meetings.
