If you would like to pursue a research project in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex please follow these steps:

  1. Contact the Research Coordinator:

    The Research Coordinator will assist you in your proposal, provide you with information relative to other ongoing or proposed studies similar to yours, and inform you of other interests from other researchers looking into the same or similar issues. The Coordinator will also let you know of the logistical support the Complex can provide you, as well as any funding opportunities.

    Since the Institute is a collaborator with the Great Lakes Research Consortium, there are several benefits to contacting the Consortium as well about your proposal. Jack Manno, who is the Executive Director of the Great Lakes Research Consortium, can provide you with assistance in locating potential collaborators and may know of other researchers interested in similar issues.

  3. Complete and submit the Proposal Form. Completing this form will allow the Complex to track research projects, prevent potential conflicts with other studies or management activities, assess logistical support needs, and as appropriate, request funding from various sources for implementation of the study. We encourage researchers to collaborate with other studies and investigations in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex.
