Learning Resources

There are many resources available that educators can use to teach their students about the environment. Below are selected links with materials that are free or very inexpensive that can be directly used or adapted to an existing curriculum. Learning about the environment is fun for all ages, so be creative and use the links to capture your students attention.

 

Partners in Paradise A large (80 pages; requires Acrobat reader) document with a curriculum for 'migratory birds and our habitat'.
Pioneer Valley Wetlands Fest 2001Has a wealth of material, including a list of links for educators and the following:

Wildlife Management Activity Guide for Teachers A Compilation of Activities for Teaching About Upper Peninsula Wildlife Management In High School written by Upper Peninsula teachers - includes lesson plans (some are fairly basic)
Canadian WIldlife Service: Osprey information page "Hinterlands Who's Who Fact Sheet" - there are links to similar pages for many other species.
