GIS Data for Vermont

The \gis\vt directory contains GIS data for the state of Vermont. An easy way to look at Vermont data is to open the \gis\vt\vt_base.mxd project file.

Air_photos	Received from Frank Pendleton (Lake Champlain Fish and Wildlife Resource Office, USFWS).
Lake_Champlain_Basin.gdb	Received from Frank Pendleton. Many datasets for the Lake Champlain basin, including some of New York.
parcels	Parcel data for Middlesex from Central Vermont Planning.
topo	Part of vgis_cd; used in vt_base.mxd; includes a catalog to load as tiles.
Vermont.gdb	From Frank Pendleton.
vgis_cd	Data from VCGIS received from Tony Tur at NEFO. Metadata is available by opening the welcome.htm file in the \gis\vt directory and then clicking on 'advanced users' then clicking on 'VGIS Data on this CD' then on 'LIST OF DATA LAYERS.' Data is in Vermont State Plane (meters), NAD 83. Defined projection for all shapefiles in the vector directory as shown below. I calculated an acre and distance field for many of the shapefiles.
