Work With Us"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Fisheries Program consists of almost 800 employees nationwide, located at 64 Fishery Resource Offices, including a Conservation genetics Laboratory, 69 National Fish Hatcheries, 9 Fish Health Centers, 7 Fish Technology Centers, and a Historic National Fish Hatchery.
In the Northeast, we have 10 active hatcheries – four of which contribute to fish conservation in the Connecticut River basin. We have 10 active Fishery Resource Offices two of which contribute to this basin’s fishery management, conservation and restoration efforts. Support for these activities is provided by one Fish Health Center and one Fish Technology Center.
