Centralized Library: The Policy and Regulations Branch maintains an index of policy/management guidance in the Centralized Library of Servicewide Policies and Guidance that is available to the public.
The library includes, but is not limited to:
- Policy/management directives that Service employees must follow, including the Fish and Wildlife Service Manual, Director's Orders, and Handbooks
- An indexed web portal of guidance that has applicability to the public
- Directive policy memoranda

Federal Register Library: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service usually publishes more than 500 Federal Register documents annually. The Policy and Regulations Branch keeps an electronic library of the Service’s Federal Register publications dating back several years. This library can help you research past actions that relate to your notice. For older Federal Register publications, check GovInfo.gov. This service allows you to research Federal Register documents from the Register’s first publication in 1936 to the current year.
