The application was submitted to satisfy the requirements of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (16 U.S.C. 1531 et seq.). A notice of receipt of this application for a permit was published in the Federal Register on February 23, 2007, Vol. 72 and page8194. The comment period will close on March 26, 2007. On February 26, 2007, the applicant requested that another ring-tailed lemur and two mongoose lemurs (Eulemur mongoz) be added to the application.
