Notice of Meeting; Klamath River Basin Fisheries Task Force

AGENCY: Fish and Wildlife Service, Interior.

ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: Pursuant to section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee 
Act (5 U.S.C. App. I), this notice announces a meeting of the Klamath 
River Basin Fisheries Task Force, established under the authority of 
the Klamath River Basin Fishery Resources Restoration Act (16 U.S.C. 
460ss et seq.). The meeting is open to the public.

DATES: The Klamath River Basin Fisheries Task Force (Task Force) will 
meet from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 1999 and from 
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 1999.

PLACE: The meeting will be held at the Shilo Inn, 2500 Almond Street, 
Klamath Falls, Oregon.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The principal agenda items at this meeting 
will be: (1) A report on the Clean Water Act Total Maximum Daily Load 
Process--how this might constrain nonpoint pollution; (2) A report on 
the status of the Department of the Interior's flow study and 
associated flow study efforts; (3) A status report on the 1999 Klamath 
Project operations and the Long-term Environmental Impact Statement; 
(4) Task Force discussion of the Mid-term Evaluation; (5) Reports from 
the Sub-basin Planning Groups on progress of sub-basin planning and 
restoration efforts and the Task Force's review of the plans; and (6) 
Task Force decision on FY2000 Project Funding.
    For background information on the Task Force, please refer to the 
notice of their initial meeting that appeared in the Federal Register 
on July 8, 1987 (52 FR 25639).
