Subject: Renaming the California/Nevada Operations Office (CNO) to Region 8
Sec. 1 What is the purpose of this Order? This Order supersedes Director’s Order 166 (03/11/2004) and changes the name of the California/Nevada Operations Office (CNO) to Region 8.
Sec. 2 What changes is the Service making?
a. We must read “Region/CNO,” “Regional Director/CNO Manager,” and “Assistant Regional Director/CNO Assistant Manager” where they appear in Service Directives and other communications as “Region,” “Regional Director,” and “Assistant Regional Director,” respectively.
b. Region 8’s Regional Director and Assistant Regional Directors have equal standing and responsibilities as those in the other Regions.
Sec. 3 When is this Order effective? This Order is effective immediately and will remain in effect until we incorporate it into the Fish and Wildlife Service Manual.
