9.1 Redelegation. The authority delegated to the Director pursuant to 242 DM 2 (also published as 031 FW 2) and 205 DM 11 as they pertain to information resources management and technology is redelegated below.

9.2 Information Technology Acquisitions.

A. Technical Clearances. Regional and Assistant Directors are authorized to grant technical approval for information technology acquisitions for hardware, software, and service, including maintenance, contracts that do not exceed $50,000 for all components of an acquisition.

B. Acquisition Authority. Regional Directors and the Assistant Director - Policy, Budget and Administration are authorized to approve information technology acquisitions for hardware, software, and service, including maintenance, contracts that do not exceed $50,000 for all components of an acquisition.

C. Limitations. Technical clearances and acquisition procedures must comply with relevant provisions of 306 DM, 376 DM, Federal Information Resources Management Regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulations, and the Service's Contracting Officer's Handbook (205 DM 11.4).
