August 25, 2004Pamlico Joe to Perform at Scuppernong River Festival
On October 9, Pamlico Joe (PJ) will be performing at the Scuppernong River Festival in Columbia, NC. PJ made his first performance at the Festival last year and has graciously accepted Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuges’ invitation to return. PJ has lived much of his life on the Pamlico River just a few miles west of Cape Hatteras in eastern North Carolina. A guitarist since age 12, he has spent a lot of time on the Pamlico River and feels right at home singing about her. PJ has been a professional performer since 1988 who came to life in 1992 at an Earth Day concert for a group of 2nd graders. The chance to mix his love of music with his love for the environment was a natural shift. Come celebrate Pamlico Joe with your refuge friends!
