- Cooperative farming on 1,150 refuge acres, with 20% of crops left in the field for wildlife food and cover.
- Impoundment management for waterfowl and wading birds. This includes two moist soil units, one green-tree-reservoir, and several flooded crop impoundments.
- Timber management, including selective thinning.
- Field border and old field management. These activities include planting native warm season grasses and annuals, discing areas to promote native vegetation, and leaving buffer strips on farm field edges.
- Prescribed burning to maintain and enhance refuge habitats, and to prevent wildfires.
- Deer herd management with public hunting.
- Bird banding, including wood ducks and migratory songbirds.
- Refuge Law Enforcement.
- Partnerships with various, agencies, and individuals to achieve landscape-based goals.
