Refuge Planning

Comprehensive Conservation Plan - A multi-year planning process has begun to develop a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for James Campbell and Pearl Harbor National Wildlife Refuges. As part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, Refuges are required to have a CCP in place to guide the management of fish, wildlife, plants, habitats and public uses for a period of 15 years.

Planning Update 1 (pdf 470K) announces Public Open House Meetings on December 9, 2008, in Pearl City, HI, and December 11, 2008, in Kahuku, HI. It also provides an overview of the refuges, and includes a list of potential refuge management issues we may consider during the CCP planning process.

Planning Update 2 (pdf 1.37M) - This planning update summarizes the comments received, and lists primary
