Comprehensive Conservation Plan - A multi-year planning process has begun to develop a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for James Campbell and Pearl Harbor National Wildlife Refuges. As part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, Refuges are required to have a CCP in place to guide the management of fish, wildlife, plants, habitats and public uses for a period of 15 years. Included are management goals, as well as a summary of each management alternative designed to accomplish these goals. (August 2010) Planning Update 2 (pdf 1.37M) - This planning update summarizes the comments received, and lists primary management issues that will be used to draft management alternatives and refine draft goals and objectives. (June 2009) Planning Update 1 (pdf 470K) announces Public Open House Meetings on December 9, 2008, in Pearl City and December 11, 2008, in Kahuku. It also provides an overview of the refuges, and includes a list of potential refuge management issues we may consider during the CCP planning process. (November 2008)
