The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. The Service works with other Department of Interior bureaus and government agencies in building a partnership-based approach to stewardship through a process Secretary Norton calls the 4C's - conservation through cooperation, communication, and consultation.
