DIRECTIONS
About 65 miles south and east of Elko, or 90 miles north and west of Ely.
Some roads are inaccessible in winter. Write for map.
PRIMARY WILDLIFE
- An important nesting area
for redheads and canvasbacks.
- A nesting colony of 200
pairs of white-faced ibis.
- Trumpeter swans, Canada
geese, ducks, sandhill cranes, shorebirds, and sage grouse.
- Fish include largemouth
black bass, brown trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout.
HABITAT
37,632 acres of marsh, meadow, and sagebrush habitat. It lies in a closed
drainage basin along the eastern flank of the rugged and scenic Ruby Mountains.

boats allowed from June 15 - July 31; power boats under 10 horsepower

channels.
