Comprehensive Conservation Plan

Status: As of April 19, 2012

The Service has prepared a Deer Hunting Plan and a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA) for the modified deer hunt program at William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), which includes maps in Appendix 1. These documents are tiered from the September 2011 Willamette Valley National Wildlife Refuges Final Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Assessment.

We developed the Deer Hunt Plan and Supplemental EA to consolidate information and provide reviewers a more succinct evaluation and analysis of the effects on the human environment associated with modified black-tailed deer hunting opportunities at William L. Finley NWR. The documents were available for public review and comment from March 22, 2012, through April 16, 2012. We did not receive any comments on either the Deer Hunting Plan or Supplemental EA. Our Finding of No Significant Impact is now available.

The Final Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Assessment (CCP/EA) is available.The CCP/EA maps are available in a separate file for your convenience. We analyzed management alternatives for the Ankeny, Baskett Slough, and William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuges (Willamette Valley National Wildlife Refuge Complex) in the Final CCP/EA, and selected Alternative 2 for implementation in the Finding of No Significant Impact.
