Purpose
of the CCP:
As
part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, each refuge in the Kauai
National Wildlife Refuge Complex is required to have a CCP in place to
guide the management of fish, wildlife, plants, wildlife habitats and
public uses for a period of 15 years.

A multi-year process is underway to develop
a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental Assessment (EA)
for Hanalei, Hulē‘ia, and Kīlauea Point National Wildlife
Refuges.

Update 1 announced Public Open House
Meetings held on January 26 and 28, 2010, and provided information on
the Refuges.
