Guam National Wildlife Refuge
Comprehensive Conservation Plan

Current Status:
A multi-year process is underway to develop a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for Guam National Wildlife Refuge (NWR).

Guam NWR will hold a Public Meeting on July 14, 2007, and an Open House from July 15 thru 22, 2007, to engage the public in refuge planning, see details in Planning Update 1 posted below. A brief overview of refuge resources, the planning process, and a map are also included in the Update. Public comments regarding the Refuge's resources and programs, received by August 31, 2007, will be considered during development of the Draft CCP/EA.

Purpose of the CCP:
As part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, Guam NWR is required to have a CCP in place to guide the management of fish, wildlife, plants, coral reefs, habitats and public uses for a period of 15 years.
