Purpose of the CCP:
As part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, Guam NWR is required to have a CCP in place to guide the management of fish, wildlife, plants, coral reefs, habitats and public uses for a period of 15 years.

Current Status: as of July 22, 2009
A multi-year process is underway to develop a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for Guam National Wildlife Refuge (NWR).

A Draft CCP/EA for Guam NWR is available for public review and comments. Comments are due August 24, 2009.

Planning Update 3 announces Public Open House Meetings on August 4th in Dededo, and August 6th in Hagatna, and includes a summary of the CCP alternatives.
