Project Profile
Current
Status:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is developing
a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and a Environmental Assessment
for the Farallon NWR. During public scoping, which began in May 2005,
we gathered public comments which provided information on important resource
issues. A summary of public comments is provided in Planning Update 2
posted on the right.
Purpose
of CCP:
As
part of the National Wildlife Refuge System, the Farallon NWR is required
to have a CCP in place to guide the management of fish, wildlife, plants,
habitats, and public uses for a period of 15 years.
