Aleutian Canada Goose Recovery

The Central Valley of California as well as parts of the Oregon coast are wintering grounds for the Aleutian Canada goose. More than 37,000 geese migrate to these areas of the Pacific Region every year.

On Feb. 1, 2001 the Service honors private landowners in California who have been instrumental in the recovery of this species.Aleutian Canada Goose
