Conservation Programs in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands

All native birds found commonly in the United States, with the exception of native resident game birds and introduced species are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.  Check out the new Conservation Scores for Birds of Hawaii and Other U.S. Pacific Islands.
The Service's migratory bird conservation activities are focused on 4 primary areas:  population assessment; international, national and flyway coordination; habitat management; and regulating take.
