Native American Religious Permits

(50 CFR 22.22)       Please Note that you must read these regulations prior to signing your application.
Bald and Golden Eagle feathers are provided to Native Americans who are enrolled members of federally recognized tribes. Eagle parts are made available to Native Americans from the National Eagle Repository located in Commerce City, Colorado. The repository distributes eagle feathers and parts to qualified Native Americans throughout the United States. Applicants are placed on waiting lists according to the date
in which their completed applications are received at their regional migratory bird permit office (which forwards them to the repository). To qualify for an eagle carcass/feathers, applicants must complete a certification form and have it signed by one of their tribal officials to confirm their enrollment in a federally recognized tribe, and their participation in religious ceremonies.
