Scientific Collecting includes migratory bird research, museum collection, and import/export of migratory birds for research or museums. The same form is used for both migratory birds and eagles. Eagle parts may not be transported internationally. Scientific Collecting Permits are not required for activities permitted under a Federal Bird Banding Permit, but may be required in addition to a Federal Bird Banding Permit.
