Rewards Program

The U.S. Congress has authorized the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to pay rewards to those individuals who provide information about violations of Federal wildlife laws.

The name of the individual providing the information can be kept confidential.

The amount of the award depends on factors:

• The independence with which the individual with the information contacted the authorities
• The thoroughness of the information provided
• The timeliness of the information provided
• The impact of the information provided to the investigation
• The willingness of the individual to testify is asked to do so
• Other factors deemed significant to the Government
