IPCC Report: The Physical Science Basis of Climate Change
The Twelfth Session of Working Group I of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued a Summary for Policy Makers and series of headline statements on Sept 26. The 2200+ page draft technical report is under development (available on the website, blow); the final is planned for a Jan. 2014 release.
The lead headline statement is as follows: Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, and since the 1950s, many of the observed changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia. The atmosphere and ocean have warmed, the amounts of snow and ice have diminished, sea level has risen, and the concentrations of greenhouse gases have increased.
