PAT EDWARDS

Equal Employment Assistant

Pat Edwards is the newest addition to the staff of the Division of Diversity and Civil Rights (DCR) where he works as an Equal Employment Assistant. He comes to DCR with more than ten years of experience as a private-sector senior executive, with broad and comprehensive experience engaging, promoting, and working globally in diverse communities. He has been responsible for assembling and leading teams internationally in high technology endeavors in Europe, South America, and especially Asia where he both resided and was the Managing Director leading Asia-Pacific business operations for his U.S. and Australia based corporate employers. Additionally, Pat has also enjoyed several years working in Public Safety as a Community Corrections (Probation & Parole Officer) and Classification Counselor for the Washington State Department of Corrections.

Pat is currently a Masters candidate at Marylhurst University School of Graduate Studies where he is completing his M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Organizational Communications. His undergraduate B.A., also earned from Marylhurst University, is in Interdisciplinary Studies disciplines focused in the areas of Psychology, Sociology, Communications (Conflict Resolution and Mediation) and Criminal Justice.  After the completion of his Master's degree, Pat plans to pursue a law degree. He is a former US Marine Corps enlisted aviator and enjoys spending time with his wife and family on international travel, fishing, hunting, racing and restoring Porsche automobiles.
