Dana Perez is a native Oregonian and has been the Chief, Division of Diversity and Civil Rights (DCR), Region 1 and Region 8, for more than a dozen years. Prior to becoming Chief, Dana served as the full time EEO Counselor in Region 1. Dana is a professional mediator, and through effective EEO counseling, mediation, and other dispute resolution techniques, has achieved a high rate of success resolving EEO-related disputes. In addition, Dana co-authored the first Service-wide Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Policy and Plan.
During his tenure, the Division of Diversity and Civil Rights has garnered numerous awards and commendations - including recognition from the National Society for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS), and the Director's Equal Employment Opportunity Award.
