CRIS STEMLER-ROSS

Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor

Cris Stemler-Ross is the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counselor for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI). She has an extensive knowledge of the discrimination complaint laws and regulations enforced by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and is a certified mediator. Previously, she worked for the Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Nevada where she served as an EEO Counselor for six years. Prior to joining DOI, Cris worked as a Human Resources Assistant for the Department of Defense (DOD) in California and Guam.  Cris received numerous employee recognition awards while working for DOD including the Non-Appropriated Fund Civilian Employee of the Year.

Cris holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Business and Management from the University of Maryland, Asian Division, in Guam. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, rock-hunting, and strolling on the beach, and is also an artist and enjoys free-hand drawing, oil painting, water colors, and many other arts-related activities.
