BRIAN LAWLER
Diversity Employment Specialist - Serving Region 1
Brian Lawler is the Diversity Employment Specialist for the Division of Diversity and Civil Rights (DCR), Region 8. He is responsible for a wide range of recruitment duties and provides advisory services as well as serving as a technical expert in identifying sources of job applicants and candidates. He has a deep and broad level of experience in recruiting, government, human resources and leadership, honed while serving in the U.S. Navy. While serving in the military, he worked in many areas including staffing, compensation, performance management, job classification, recruiting, hiring, benefits, employee relations and employee development. Brian was selected as "Classifier of the Year" by Navy Recruiting Command.
Brian holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and certification in Human Resource Management from Villanova University. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and frequent visits to both the Oregon Zoo and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in Portland.
