Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
The Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (ADR) is a method of resolving conflict through non-adversarial means. On a voluntary basis, the involved parties are active participants throughout the process. There are many forms of ADR -- one of the most successful and common is mediation. If the issues are suitable, ADR could bring about a mutual resolution to the conflict. If mediation is successful, a "Settlement Agreement" is signed and the matter is resolved.
If the ADR process does not result in the resolution of the claim, the counselor will issue the NOFI/Right to File a Formal Complaint letter that outlines the formal EEO complaint process and the time frame for filing a formal complaint of discrimination.
