Management Directive 715

For the Federal sector, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued Management Director 715, commonly known as "MD-715", provides guidance and standards for establishing and maintaining affirmative employment programs for women and minorites, and affirmative action programs for persons with disabilities.

MD-715 required processes include self-analysis, problem identification, data collection, policy statements, reporting systems, and goal identification to eliminate discriminatory policies and practices in the workplace However, MD-715 does not contemplate and shall not include any preferential treatment of any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age or disability.
