The Division of Diversity and Civil Rights manages the Equal Employment Opportunity, Diversity, and other Civil Rights-legislated programs for Region 1 and Region 8 of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by consulting with and assisting management and employees to support and achieve FWS Equal Employment, Non-Discrimination, Workforce Diversity, Recruitment, Accessibility, Environmental Justice, Limited English Proficiency, CORE-Plus, and Pathways goals.
The most valuable asset of our organization is our people. It is our policy to provide Equal Employment to all Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) employees and applicants. All individuals are entitled to work in an environment free from discrimination and sexual harassment. Allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment will be given prompt attention and resolved as expeditiously as possible.
Our goal is to ensure that all applicants and employees receive equality of opportunity. This objective calls for a work environment free of discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, and reprisal. The FWS assures the full realization of its stated objective through a continuous procedure of monitoring and reporting.
