Water Rights GIS and Mapping

The Water Resources Branch is currently converting the water rights map data to a Geographic Information System (GIS). In cooperation with the Region 1 Division of Refuge Planning GIS/Cartography Branch this 18 month project will develop an ESRI Geodatabase containing the place of use and point of diversion geometry appurtenant to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service land. This data will be served via an Internet Map Service (IMS) by the Regional GIS Coordinators Office with the capability to query water rights information from our Water Rights Evaluation Network as well as produce user defined maps.

The following draft map depicts the water rights for the Dennis and Steinborn tracts at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. This project is still in the pilot phase and revisions to map layout, content and data standards are being implemented. Please contact Dan Craver with comments/questions in regard to this project.
