Warm Spring NFH

In June 2010, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Hatchery Review Team concluded its five-year, science-based review of 24 federally-owned salmon hatcheries in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, 2005 - 2010. The review examined 53 hatchery programs for Pacific salmon and steelhead (Oncorhynchus sp.). The Review Team recently released a report that summarizes the history, results and conclusions of the Pacific Region Hatchery Review process. The "Summary Report" and the individual assessments and recommendations reports for the hatchery programs examined are available on the Reports & Publications page.

The Review Team is currently finalizing their remaining reports, including a report that addresses a series of region-wide issues identified over the course of the review and the assessments and recommendations reports for the Lower Snake River Compensation Plan (LSRCP) hatchery facilities in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. The draft LSRCP reports are currently available on this web site. The final "Region-Wide Issues and Recommendations Report" and the final LSRCP assessments and recommendations reports will be available shortly.
