Partners

• Projects provide opportunities to build partnerships, achieve common goals, and share resources.

• Partner roles should be well defined and doable.

• Local businesses, such as nurseries and consulting firms, often find opportunities for involvement in community projects to be a personally rewarding and worthwhile investment.

• Involving youth and school groups can be time consuming, but the kids make it worth the effort.

• Community involvement is vital for long term project success as well as a valuable opportunity to promote environmental education and stewardship.

• AmeriCorps and other service programs can provide creativity, labor, public education and outreach.
