The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is pleased to announce the completion of a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) for Oregon Islands, Three Arch Rocks, and Cape Meares National Wildlife Refuges. In 2006, the USFWS Oregon Coast National Wildlife Refuge Complex initiated a planning process called Comprehensive Conservation Planning to review the wildlife, habitat and public use activities on Cape Meares, Oregon Islands, and Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuges (NWRs). The purpose of the CCP is to guide management of these resources for the next 15 years.

The Service selected Alternative 2 for the Refuges CCP. This alternative places greater emphasis on establishing and working through partnerships with state and federal agencies, non-profits, educational institutions and private citizens to accomplish needed wildlife and habitat inventories, surveys, monitoring, research, and opportunities for public use. Now that the plan has been completed, the Service will begin implementing proposed projects and partnerships as funding becomes available.
