Application Procedures for Commercial Day-Use/Overnight Guiding Permit 2012-2013

Complete the attached application and send to the address below with the following additional items. Must be received by August 3, 2012

Day Use

  • A check for $25.00 made payable to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
  • A copy of the appropriate documentation of insurance coverage (a Certificate of Insurance with adequate Comprehensive General Liability coverage, the minimum limit of liability being $300,000 per occurrence).
  • Proof of current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification for all guides
  • Submit the application package by August 3, 2012. Permitees will be notified of selection by August 13. Refuge training will take place at the Okefenokee NWR Administrative Office; September 15, 2012.
  • You must pre-register for training.

Overnight Use

  • A check for $200.00 made payable to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
  • A copy of the appropriate documentation of insurance coverage (a Certificate of Insurance with adequate Comprehensive General Liability coverage, the minimum limit of liability being $500,000 per occurrence).
  • Proof of current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification for all guides
  • Submit the application package by August 3, 2012. Permitees will be notified of selection by August 13. Refuge training will take place at the Okefenokee NWR Administrative Office; September 15, 2012.
  • You must pre-register for training.

 

Incomplete applications will be returned without consideration and must be re-submitted by the deadline. Application packages containing false statements and/or fraudulent or misleading information will be denied and the application fee will be forfeited.
