The OALS has seen tremendous growth in the past
few months. The lack of good documentation and work tracking
has been a formidable problem for many
FWS offices nationwide. As a result, many offices
are searching for a standardized system for activity tracking.
The OALS has been operational since 1994
and is already in use in 30+ offices in 25 states.

New
Users
The
new 2004 version of OALS is currently being developed.
It will be Microsoft Access based and will continue
to integrate with GIS and Imaging. If you are an Access
programmer or if you simply want to contribute your
time and effort, then contact Jason Duke at jason_duke@fws.gov.
We

Next
NCTC Training
The
next Beginning OALS (TEC7116) and Advanced
OALS (TEC7117) courses will be taught
in March, 2004 at NCTC. Everyone is invited to attend
the course at NCTC.
