Recreation

Public recreation and environmental education opportunities currently do not exist on O‘ahu Forest NWR. It is the goal of the refuge to provide limited public recreation and educational opportunities after basic biological inventory and monitoring has been accomplished. In addition to establishing legal trail access across private land, sufficient trail maintenance is needed in order to provide for a safe visitor experience
