Tree IdentificationJuly 12, 2014
Mingo National Wildlife Refuge provides host to a tremendous diversity of tree species. The tree species vary based on the habitat of the refuge. The tree species in the upland hills are quite different to the tree species found in the bottomland forests. To learn more about the trees of Mingo and to get help with identification, join a refuge ranger for a tree identification hike. Participants will meet at the parking lot for the Swampwalk Nature Trail at 9 a.m. and the hike will last about an hour.
