Canoe Trip Celebrating Migratory Bird Day - May 10, 2014

 Pre-registration is required by calling or emailing Refuge Ranger Ed Lagace at 507-494-6236 or ed_lagace@fws.gov. The Refuge will provide canoes, paddles and PFD’s for your use or you can bring your own equipment.

International Migratory Bird Day Canoe and Kayak trip
Join Ranger Ed on May, 10 2014 for a canoe trip on the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge to celebrate International Migratory Bird. The trip will leave the Verchota Landing (Winona, MN) at 2:00 p.m. and return by 4:30 p.m. The group will travel up river to the Twin Lakes area to see several bald eagle nests then turning down river toward the Polander Islands to observe many species of waterfowl and song birds.
