Upcoming events: Trail Cleanup Day, March 22, 8 am to noon

Bird Banding, May 10, 7-11 am



Spring is cleanup time on the Refuge trails. Join the Friends of Port Louisa NWR on Saturday, March 22 to help spruce up the trails from 8 am to noon. All safety gear, equipment, and refreshments will be provided. Meet at the refuge office at 10728 County Road X61. The new office construction is not yet complete, please meet at the existing office. Signs will direct you.
 
Join the Friends of Port Louisa NWR and Refuge staff for banding the birds on May 10 from 7:00 am until 11:00. Each spring during songbird migration we capture and band colorful warblers and other birds. Biologists will be on hand to explain why we band birds and give information about the birds. Stop by anytime between 7 and 11 to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day!
