Public Meeting

A public meeting will be held at the Milbank Chamber of Commerce, 1001 East 4th Avenue, Milbank, SD on November 6th, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is proposing to list the Dakota skipper as a threatened species and the Poweshiek skipperling as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. The Service is proposing to designate Critical Habitat as required by the Act as well as proposing a special rule for the Dakota skipper. The proposal to list the two species, designation of critical habitat, and the special rule appear in the October 24, 2013 Federal Register.  The public may comment on the proposal through December 23, 2013.
