National Public Lands Day/ International Coastal CleanupSaturday, September 28, 2013
Join us as we team with groups all over the country and world to clean up our coast!
There are several days throughout the year where citizens come together to make our public lands a better place. September 28th is one of those days. Come out and help us beautify your Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
National Public Lands Day is celebrated all over the country at national wildlife refuges, national parks, national forests and other sites. The goal is to keep these lands beautiful so you can enjoy them all year long. We will set to work on our trails to trim, clip and cut stray branches and unruly vines.
The International Coastal Cleanup is a special day where teams all over the WORLD pull together to clean up the coast. Each team is crucial to this project. Data is collected about the types and amounts of trash collected. This information is pulled together and used to try create solutions to finding a way to decrease trash from these sources.
