The National Elk Refuge's centennial was celebrated through a fun series of events, while the Horsethief Canyon Fire was perhaps the most dramatic incident of the season.
One of the big events of the year was the donation of the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center to the National Elk Refuge by the Grand Teton Association, the refuge's nonprofit cooperating association.
