Join us to celebrate the National Wildlife Refuge System and learn more about your local refuge in Kodiak! A week of events for all ages, all free and open to the public.
Tuesday, October 9 7:00-8:30 pm Biologist McCrea Cobb: "History of Non-Native Mammals on Kodiak Refuge"
Wednesday, October 10
10:30-11:15 am FUN Program (3-5 yr olds) This week's program will focus on Refuges.
7-8:30 pm Biologist Bill Pyle: Partnered Management of Invasive Species in the Kodiak Area.
Thursday, October 11
12-1pm: Brown Bag Lunch Series - "Your Kodiak Refuge: What is It" by Manager Gary Wheeler
6:30-8:30 pm: Kids Night at the Refuge (ages 7-12). Please sign up in advance to reserve a place by calling our front desk at 907-487-2626.
Friday, October 12 7-8:30 pm Film Screening of "Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for our Time
Saturday, October 13 2-5 pm View 5 short films about Alaska's Wildlife Refuges. Films will be played on loop throughout the afternoon
