The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is seeking to complement existing conservation efforts in the Bear River Watershed by working with numerous partners including private landowners, nongovernmental organizations, and other agencies on the draft land protection plan and environmental assessment for the Bear River Watershed Conservation Area project.

The proposed project would establish a new conservation easement program, and would allow the Service to work with willing sellers in the Bear River watershed whose lands provide important habitat for fish and wildlife resources.
